Project Life® 2024 Photobook with Canva | Week 6

Week 6 will be remembered as the week of the Hadeda! I love this unique bird – often described as loud, ugly, and a nuisance but I LOVE them. My super-talented friend Terry Angelos finally painted the beauty featured on page 19, after I left many “haa-haa-haa-de-dah” screech audio messages on her phone and via her son – who says persistence doesn’t pay. Highlights this week were the rhino silhouetted against the sunrise at Hluhluwe | Umfolozi Game Reserve, Bafana exceeding all expectations coming third in Afcon 23/24, our usual #morningwalks, and an unusual morning swim. LET’S GET STARTED

Take a look at me designing my pages using Canva…

WEEK 6 – PAGE 18

I started by duplicating Page 14, removing the images, replacing Ali Edward’s Week text, and correcting the dates. This page was pretty simple because I didn’t add any journalling and embellishments.

WEEK 6 – PAGE 19

For this page, I photographed Terry’s print with my iPhone 11 and imported it. Using Edit Photo|BG Remover the greyness of the background was removed. Unfortunately, it also removed Terry’s signature so I cropped the signature out and brought it in separately and then used Edit Photo|BG Remover again. I just love this. I copied my journalling from Apple Notes chose CK Ali’s Hand Font and positioned it on the left-hand side.

WEEK 6 – PAGE 20 & 21

Thankfully these two pages were super quick I used Elements|Grids and filled them with photos. Then I chose Elements|Badge, changed the colour, and positioned it on the top quarter of page 20. I imported a Hluhluwe/Umfolozi sign and used Elements|BG Remover to remove green. Then with Edit Photo|Glow or Outline I made sure the logo stood out from the background badge. Yeah done! Quicker than last week.
