Re-doing old tatty albums
I was so excited when Debbie approached me to re-do her daughter’s tatty old wedding album, as a gift. It is so common for old albums to start disintegrating after a number of years. Fortunately, Debbie did not want to keep the old album, so we were able to cut the pages up and use a large flatbed scanner to scan the different sized images, at a resolution of 300DPI.
One of my favourite techniques in photobooks is full-page photos and double-page spreads. I just love the large prints; they are so impactful. This album begins with one of the best images of the couple, then the rest of it follows the sequence of the day. Debbie chose a timeless Genuine Eggshell Leather cover with the couple’s initials in a classic wreath.
One of my most treasured moments is receiving feedback and this is what Debbie had to say, “I presented the album to Sarah and Alan today and there were tears! It is EXQUISITE! Thank you SO MUCH for all the effort and love put into such a meaningful album 😘😘😘”
